General Application for Permit
Before beginning most residential construction or improvement projects within the Village of Elida, residents are required to complete and submit a General Application for Permit. This helps ensure that all projects meet local zoning, safety, and construction standards.
Permits are required for a variety of projects — including fences, decks, garages, driveways, sheds, pools, and more. A full list of project types and corresponding fees is included in the application.
To apply:

Download or stop in to the Village office to pick up the permit application

Complete the application and include construction plans and a site layout

Sign the application

The application must be reviewed and approved by the Zoning Inspector before work may begin

Submit it by mail or in person to Elida Town Hall
We encourage residents to submit their application as early as possible to avoid project delays.
